BADGERS FCA OF FLORIDA CODE OF ETHICS
PLAYERS:
1. I will encourage good sportsmanship among players, coaches, officials, and parents.
2. I will always remember that soccer is an opportunity to learn and have fun.
3. I deserve to play in an environment free of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol and expect
everyone to refrain from their use at all soccer activities.
4. I will do my best each day, respecting the talents and weaknesses of all players.
5. I will treat coaches, teammates, game officials, administrators, and fans with respect at all
times, regardless of race, sex, creed, or abilities, and expect the same in return.
6. I will focus on playing soccer, always giving my best effort.
7. I will play by the rules at all times.
8. I will control my temper and resist the temptation to retaliate.
9. My conduct on and off the field will align with FIFA’s Laws of the Game and FYSA rules.
10. While traveling, I will represent myself and my team with respect.
11. A registered player cannot be removed from a team without BOARD OF DIRECTORS
approval unless they exhibit conduct requiring dismissal. A hearing must be held if requested
by the player or parent.
12. Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, and unauthorized prescription drugs are prohibited
before, during, or after any game or at the field and game complex.
PARENTS/SPECTATORS:
1. I will demonstrate good sportsmanship and positive support for all players, coaches, and
officials.
2. I will prioritize the emotional and physical well-being of all players over personal desires to
win.
3. I will support the coaches and administrators in creating a positive experience for my
child.
4. I will remember that the game is for the players, not the adults.
5. I will encourage my child to treat others with respect.
6. I will remain positive at all times.
7. I will allow the coach to be the only coach and refrain from coaching from the sidelines.
8. I will not argue with parents, players, or coaches from other teams.
9. I will not enter the field of play during the game.
10. I will not criticize game officials.
11. Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, and unauthorized prescription drugs are prohibited
before, during, or after any game or at the field and game complex.
CONSEQUENCES FOR NON-COMPLIANCE:
Failure to follow this Code of Ethics may result in suspension from Badgers FCA of Florida
sanctioned events:
1st Offense: Suspension from 30 days to 5 years.
2nd Offense: Suspension from 1 year to 10 years.
3rd Offense: Suspension from 5 years to 50 years.
